My Process

You will receive an online gallery for you to view & download all of your images.

Typically, I promise that your photos will be edited & delivered within 2 weeks of your photoshoot. If there is an unforeseen delay, I will attempt communicate this as soon as I can!

Life happens, right? If there is an emergency or you get sick, we can definitely reschedule for another time. We will proceed based on your situation.

As for weather -

If there is a high chance of rain for the date or time of the photoshoot (50% or more) we can:

1. Reschedule at no cost
2. Move the photoshoot to be an at-home session indoors
3. Embrace the rain by bringing umbrellas as long as it's not dangerous / heavy pour

We like to go with the flow around here.

I usually try and get a few "frame-worthy" smile-at-the-camera photos towards the beginning of family sessions & then let the kiddos lead how we progress. If they get tired, hungry, want to run all the wiggles out, we will allow the space to navigate through it all!

In fact, I quite prefer capturing storytelling photos that are not "still" or make kids feel pressure to perform. If you are worried, I will lend you some of my not worried-ness! I have various tactics (& bubbles) to help direct the dynamics.

My number 1 rule is wear what feels comfortable and feels like you!

Beyond that, a few good tips include:

• You can coordinate group outfits without matching everything exactly.
• Consider limiting colors to a handful that go well together & incorporate soft patterns if you feel adventurous. Pastels, neutrals, or jewel tones are always good go-to choices!
• Take into account where the photo location is, if you want to reflect the season in your color choices, & prepare for what the temperature will be.
• Texture shows up great on camera. Think denim, chunky sweaters, lace, waffle knit tees, corduroy, ruffles, & even metal accessories such as jewelry.
• Wear something flowy to get pretty movement (ex: maxi dress)
• Avoid big distracting patterns, large brand logos, graphic tees, and harsh / neon colors.

I do, but only under specific circumstances.

• Professional headshots where you are only expecting a few photos / limited points of view.
• If you are struggling financially and otherwise would not get any photos taken by a photographer.

30 min rate: $150

Please keep in mind, the reason I typically do 1 hour photoshoots is to allow time to converse, move around a location to get different perspectives, capture more candid / in between shots, let kids have space to let their guard down (or have a meltdown if needed), change my camera settings, switch lenses, etc. My style of photography is generally more natural & that extra time allows us not to be rushed or forced into cookie cutter poses back to back.

At this time, I do not offer photography services for traditional weddings. However, if you are having a courthouse wedding and would like photos afterwards or eloping on a small scale feel free to inquire!

Yes, absolutely! I love when clients share their photos online.

However, if you do share them, please be sure to credit me and do not apply any additional filters to alter the images. Thank you!
